This is a simple search box that will allow you to quickly search all the different city editions of CraigsList.
Note: If you're searching for something that is common, you'll be overwhelmed with results so this is more suitable for uncommon items.
You can orient the searches by relevance (default), or by date in the upper left of the search results. If you want a more complicated search, like just some cities or categories, there are instructions below.

How To Use Google's Advanced Search to Find Items on Craigslist
The search box above searches all of Craigslist for your keyword. It's really just a search for "keyword site:craigslist.org" sent to Google.
You can search a few cities by searching with this string on Google:
"keyword site:city.craigslist.org OR site:city.craigslist.org"
The city is the subdomain identifier used by craigslist for the cities you want. You can add additional cities by adding the word OR and more craigslist city domains.
To Search ONLY in specific Craigslist categories use this string:
"keyword site:craigslist.org inurl:CAT"
CAT is the 3 digit category abbreviation. Find the category abreviation by going to the category you want and look at the url for the code. For example the collectibles category in Phoenix has the URL http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cba/. CBA is the code you'd add to the inurl statement in your search.
You can combine these search methods to search in some cities by category like this:
"keyword site:city.craigslist.org inurl:CAT OR site:city.craigslist.org inurl:CAT"
You can also search multiple categories accross all of Craiglist with a search like this one:
"keyword site:craigslist.org inurl:CAT1 OR site:craigslist.org inurl:CAT2"
